We mainly ordered seafood and did not regret it. The most delicious dish we tried was the black taglioni with seafood but also pork! Somehow all the ingredients worked really well together. The only thing that was not too-Mitch was the tiramisu, which I found too sweet. Service was impeccable, speedy but not rushed, the ambiance was quiet and relaxing - great experience overall.
Exceptional Food from an award winning Chef. Eat there twice and both times the service and food were excellent. The restaurant ajoins it's big Michelin Stared brother but offers a simpler option to the taster menu next door
Fork in Cagliari, a Michelin-starred restaurant, is a truly remarkable dining destination for food connoisseurs. The dishes served are not only delicious, but also impeccably presented - a feast for both the palate and the eyes. The wine selection is compelling and perfectly complements the flavors of the exquisite dishes.
While the decor could benefit from minor tweaks, it doesn't detract from the overall dining experience. After all, we were there for the incredible food and not the interior lighting. The staff at Fork are professional, engaging, and bilingual, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
The use of negative space in the plating sometimes left me desiring more, but perhaps that was the intention - to pique our curiosity and appetite. We shared many dishes 'family style,' and every single plate that graced our table left a lasting impression. Fork in Cagliari is a must-visit for an unforgettable gastronomic adventure that is sure to delight your senses.
Overall good restaurant. Attentive staff and decent service. Some of the items on the menu you dont find in many places (e.g. horse steak) which is great. Squid ink pasta was amazing. Would recommend checking out if in the area.
The food was tasty but absurdly small portions and way more pricey than it should have been. One companion had the gnocchi with jus was really good. I got the Pacherri with shrimp and zucchini and it was as if they took 1 shrimp and 1/3rd of a zucchini and diced them to the size of a corn kernel. The service was ok but very stiff and overly formal. NOTE most people who walked in thought they were going into their more high end restaurant with tasting menu which was next door and who does NOT take walkins. It wasn’t awful and it wasn’t great.
An absolute waste of money. The food was so anonymous, it was either too salt or didn’t taste like anything. The meat was dry and overcooked and even though it’s the “cheap bistro little brother” to the michelin star restaurant next door you will end up feeling that it’s completely overpriced compared to other generic restaurants with anonymous food. We talked to the waiters after our meal but they just told us to come back for the michelin star restaurant… Don’t go to the fork, you’ll be disappointed :)
Luckily this place was near my airbnb and my girlfriend wanted to try it out when she saw it. It's run together with a Michelin star restaurant that is next to it. The atmosphere is on point and the food is delicious. The price wasn't too bad either for having taken two primi, two secondi and a bottle of wine to share.
Really disappointed at this experience: starting with the decor and ambience, it was outdated except for some modern art on the wall, tables were old, paint peeling from the walls. As for the food it was mediocre at best considering they have a “michellin star” to their name. I had the duck it was over cooked, pasta was regular nothing to wow ! Considering it was our most expensive meal in Cagliari there was no “bang for your buck”
